Remakes and Readymades brought together two artists who use found materials in their practice to comment on mass production, mass-collection and re-appropriation of mass produced goods. Passmore stretches activist t-shirts on canvas frames. Massacar disassembles and reassembles push-puppet toys.

Mitchell Weibe & Ingram Barss, Phaintos!, Opens January 8, Runs to February 10, 2007
Phaintos! was a collaboration between two Halifax artists, Mitchell Weibe and Ingram Barss. Photographs were shot and printed by Barss, then passed to Weibe for painting. Through correspondance and collaboration, the work resulted in representations of fluid and fractured, visceral and intellectual, ideal and dystopian worlds.
