Exhibition: Seripop: meant to not mean to mean to not mean to

29 July – 9 August, 2014
The Khyber Centre for the Arts and Anna Leonowens Gallery are proud to present the following project by Seripop.

Meant To Not Mean To Mean To Not Mean To pursues a research in materiality that aims to resolve into a sort of visual syntax. By the display of multiple actions by the artists in the space of their intervention – which is rendered possible by exposing a variety of material contrasts and stresses – Desranleau and Lum hope to create a narrative that not only involves the objects at play, but also the space the installation invests, and its architectural limits.

Chloe Lum and Yannick Desranleau (aka: Seripop) create sculptures, immersive installations, and material interventions. These works display interests in diverse phenomena: language, entropy, material reaction or decay, and immersion.
