SUBMISSIONS

The Khyber supports the exhibition of work in all media and encourage solo, duo and group submissions. The Khyber is committed to providing a flexible, interdisciplinary exhibition space for the presentation of non-commercial contemporary art. Our mission as an artist-run-centre is to foster critical thought in society through the presentation of contemporary art which facilitates dialogue, encourages inquiry and supports social engagement by the public at large. The Khyber is devoted to research, risk and experimentation. We pay fees to artists according to CARFAC standards in our primary program.

Programming is determined through a volunteer-based Primary Programming Committee formed of artists and curators and is led by a Primary Program Chair Board Member and the Artistic Director. Proposals can include, but are not limited to: exhibitions, studio residencies, screenings, lectures, panels, individual artist talks, readings, performances and workshops. Expect a several month-long wait time for a response from the programming committee.
