Complimentary to our Ballroom programming, recent NSCAD BFA graduate Daniel Joyce uses found objects, constructing sculptures that speak to excess in contemporary North America. In The Doctor’s Secret Child a bed is created using stacks of romance novels. In Baseballrugbyfootballhorseshoebowlingsoccer a shiny, snakelike object emerges from the repetition of trophy tops.

Remakes and Readymades brought together two artists who use found materials in their practice to comment on mass production, mass-collection and re-appropriation of mass produced goods. Passmore stretches activist t-shirts on canvas frames. Massacar disassembles and reassembles push-puppet toys.

Khyber Member’s show curated by our NSCAD intern Leslie Menagh. This show included two floors of art, a live ‘kitchen band’, pie making and a performance by Zuppa Circus Theatre collective.
