Vancouver based artist, Christopher Moore's, installation, "Call 423-0241" was titled after the number for the telephone line that the artist installed for the show. Ten rotary telephones were installed in the space and connected in sequence. If the phones rang while the gallery was empty, an answering machine took the call. When a call was answered by the machine or by a person in the gallery, it was amplified throughout the gallery and the second floor of the building. Moore's installation investigated the nature of communication and rebuked our unconscious trust in technology. (Ballroom Gallery)
